Dafür braucht es kein Go-&-Grow-Konto.
3. Nutzung ohne Go-&-Grow-Konto (rein lokal)
Schreibe dort nichts, was vertraulich bleiben soll.
Go & Grow speichert keine Tonaufnahme und überträgt keine.
RevenueCat verarbeitet in unserem Auftrag:
- Firebase Analytics: pseudonyme Nutzungs-Events (z.
Meta (Facebook/Instagram) Werbemessung
9. Empfänger und Auftragsverarbeiter
- Google LLC / Google Ireland Ltd. · Firebase Authentication, Cloud Firestore, Crashlytics, Analytics sowie Google Play (Vertrieb, Zahlungsabwicklung, «Anmelden mit Google»)
- Apple Inc. / Apple Distribution International Ltd. · App Store (Vertrieb, Zahlungsabwicklung) sowie «Anmelden mit Apple»
- RevenueCat Inc. (USA) · Abo- und Kaufverwaltung
- Meta Platforms Ireland Ltd. (Irland) · Werbemessung (Abschnitt 8)
10. Übermittlung in Drittländer
EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework bzw.
Wende dich dafür an support.goandgrow@gmail.com.
13. Konto- und Datenlöschung
Du kannst dein Konto samt Cloud-Daten jederzeit direkt in der App löschen: Profil → Konto → Konto löschen. Alternativ per E-Mail an support.goandgrow@gmail.com.

2. Summary
- A Go & Grow account is optional (only needed for cloud sync, leaderboard and crews). Without one, all content stays local on your device.
- You can sign in with email, Google or Apple. With «Sign in with Apple» you may hide your email address (section 4).
- Using the app requires a subscription, purchased through your Google Play account or your Apple ID, depending on your device (see section 7). No Go & Grow account is needed for that.
- On the leaderboard, your hero name, XP, level and further game details are visible to other users (section 5), but never your email or journal.
- In the clan chat, your messages are visible to the other members of your clan (section 6). In a clan war, it is also visible who took on which task (section 5).
- We do not sell data and show no ads inside the app. We advertise the app on Facebook and Instagram and use Meta to measure whether an ad led to an install (section 8).
- You can delete your account in the app at any time (see Delete account).
3. Local use without a Go & Grow account
Without signing in, all your content (quests, habits, journal, progress, settings) is stored locally on your device only. Independently of this, using the app requires a subscription handled through your Google Play account or your Apple ID (section 7); even without a Go & Grow account, technical diagnostics and usage data are processed (sections 7 and 8).
4. Account and cloud sync (Firebase)
If you register voluntarily, we process via Firebase Authentication (Google): your email address, display/hero name and a user ID (Firebase UID).
Signing in with email, Google or Apple
There are three ways to sign in: email address with a password, Sign in with Google or Sign in with Apple. For the latter two, Google or Apple checks the sign-in and passes on only a confirmation, your email address and your name. We never learn your password there.
With «Sign in with Apple» you can choose «Hide My Email» in the sign-in dialog. Apple then gives us a forwarding address at privaterelay.appleid.com instead of your real one. In that case we never see your real email address, and you can switch the forwarding off at any time in your Apple settings. Apple releases your name only on the very first sign-in; it is suggested as your hero name, and you can change it in the app.
Cloud sync
Via Cloud Firestore (Google) we sync your game progress and your free-text journal entries. Firestore security rules are configured owner-only: only you can access your progress and journal data. We do not analyse the content of your journal entries. All transfers are encrypted (TLS).
5. Leaderboard and clans (visible to others)
If you take part in the leaderboard or in a clan, the following is visible to other users of the app: hero name, XP, level and rank name, your friend code, the country code described in section 6, the name of your clan if you are in one, and time limited awards such as «Warrior of the week». A flag showing whether a paid subscription is active is stored alongside.
Your email address, real name (unless chosen as hero name), journal content and habit details are never visible to others. Choose your hero name accordingly. It is public inside the app.
Clan war
If your clan takes part in the monthly clan war, we store: the name, code, points and tier of your clan, the user identifiers of the members who paid the entry fee, which clans challenged each other, and for every task the user identifier and the hero name of whoever took it on, with the time and its status. Signed-in users of the app can read this data, which in practice means the members of both clans involved.
After a war ends, the result and an entry in your clan's history remain stored. Whoever became «Warrior of the week» is listed with their hero name at the clan.
6. Clan chat, profile picture, dictation and country
Clan chat
If you join a clan you can post messages there. We store your user identifier, your hero name, the text of your message and the time. These messages are visible to every member of the same clan. Do not post anything that should stay confidential.
You can delete your own messages at any time; the clan leader can also delete messages in their clan. «Report» sends the message to support.goandgrow@gmail.com for review. «Block» hides a sender; that list only takes effect on your own device and is not transmitted to other users.
Messages you have already sent stay in the clan chat, even after you delete your account. They are not removed automatically. If you want us to remove them, send an email to support.goandgrow@gmail.com; we process deletion requests within 30 days.
Profile picture, camera and photos
You may optionally choose a profile picture. The app opens your device's own image picker for this. There you can take an existing image or capture a new one directly. The first time, your device asks for permission to use the camera or your photos. If you decline, only this one function is unavailable and the app keeps working.
The app receives only the single image you pick or capture. It does not read your photo library and does not search it. The image is cropped to a square and scaled down to 256 by 256 pixels on your device. It then becomes part of your save game. So it does not stay on your device only: if you are signed in, it is uploaded to the cloud together with the save game (Cloud Firestore, see section 4). Only you can access it. Without a profile picture no image is collected and none is transferred. You can remove it again under Profile at any time.
If you share an image from the app and choose «Save Image» in your device's share sheet, your device asks once for permission to add it to your photos. Here too, the app does not read your photos.
Dictation
Journal and text fields have a dictation button. It uses your device's own speech recognition. To start it, your device asks once for microphone permission, and on iPhone and iPad also for speech recognition. Go & Grow stores no audio recording and transmits none. The app receives only the recognized text, and that goes where you type it. The speech processing itself is done by your device or its provider under their privacy terms.
Country
The leaderboard shows a country code next to your name. It is derived from the region of your device language, or from your time zone as a fallback. There is no location request, no GPS and no IP lookup. Nothing more precise than the country is recorded.
7. Purchases and subscriptions (Google Play, App Store, RevenueCat)
Subscriptions (Starter, Premium, Supporter; any free trial as offered in the store at the time) are processed through the store you obtained the app from: Google Play Billing on Android, and Apple's App Store on iPhone and iPad. Payment details are handled exclusively by Google or Apple. Cancellations and any refunds are governed by the terms of the respective store. We use RevenueCat (RevenueCat Inc., USA) as a processor to manage subscription status: purchase history, subscription state, device/app identifiers and an app user ID. Note: cancelling a subscription is done in the subscription settings of Google Play or the App Store and is separate from account deletion.
Discount codes
When you redeem a discount code, we create an entry under that code: your user identifier, the time, the discount rate and the identifier of the matching store offer. This is what makes each code valid exactly once. You have to be signed in to redeem one. The entry is readable by signed-in users of the app. It cannot be changed afterwards and stays in place, as the same code could otherwise be redeemed again. Deleting your account therefore does not remove it. The code itself holds no information about you; it consists of an offer identifier, an expiry date, random characters and a checksum.
For a friends and testers discount we may additionally keep a list of email addresses. At checkout the app checks whether your account's address is on that list and applies the discount accordingly.
8. Stability and analytics (Firebase Crashlytics, Firebase Analytics)
We use Firebase Crashlytics (crash logs, device model, OS and app version, installation identifiers) and Firebase Analytics (pseudonymous usage events, device information, app instance ID) to keep the app stable and improve it. These data contain no journal content.
Meta (Facebook/Instagram) ad measurement
We advertise the app on Facebook and Instagram. To measure whether an ad led to an install, the Meta SDK (App Events) is built into the app. It sends to Meta Platforms Ireland Ltd. (Merrion Road, Dublin 4, Ireland): the advertising ID of your device (Android: Google advertising ID; iOS: IDFA, only with your consent), app events (install, app launch, trial start, subscription purchase with amount and currency, no payment details) and technical data such as device model, OS, app version and IP address. The sole purpose is measuring ad performance. Journal content, name, email and game progress are never sent to Meta. RevenueCat may additionally forward purchase events (trial started, subscription purchased) to Meta.
Legal basis and consent: On iOS the app asks once after onboarding (App Tracking Transparency dialog). If you decline, no advertising ID is sent and the install is only counted through Apple's SKAdNetwork without any link to your device. On Android the transfer is based on our legitimate interest in advertising the app effectively. Objection: you can reset or delete the advertising ID at any time (Android: Settings, Google, Ads, «Delete advertising ID»; iOS: Settings, Privacy & Security, Tracking, switch off Go & Grow). Meta also processes these data under its own privacy policy.
9. Recipients and processors
We work with Google LLC / Google Ireland Ltd. (Firebase Authentication, Cloud Firestore, Crashlytics, Analytics, Google Play, «Sign in with Google»), Apple Inc. / Apple Distribution International Ltd. (App Store, «Sign in with Apple»), RevenueCat Inc. (USA, subscription and purchase management) and Meta Platforms Ireland Ltd. (Ireland, ad measurement, section 8). Firebase and RevenueCat process data on our behalf under data processing agreements. Google Play, the App Store, «Sign in with Google» and «Sign in with Apple» are services of Google and Apple in their own right, governed by their own privacy terms. Meta only receives the data listed in section 8 for ad measurement. Beyond that we do not sell data and do not share it with third parties for advertising.
10. International transfers
Google, Apple, RevenueCat and Meta may process data in the USA, protected by recognised safeguards (EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework and/or Standard Contractual Clauses, also reflecting Swiss requirements).
11. Retention
Account and cloud data: until you delete your account. Crash/analytics data: per Firebase retention periods, then aggregated. Purchase data: as long as required for subscription management and statutory retention. Clan chat messages: until you or the clan leader delete them, or until we remove them at your request. Clan war: registration, tasks and result stay stored as your clan's history after the war ends. Redeemed discount codes: the entry for the code stays stored permanently so the same code cannot be used again. Local device data: until you reset it in the app or uninstall the app.
12. Your rights
Under the Swiss Data Protection Act (revFADP) and, where applicable, the GDPR, you have the right to access, rectification, erasure, restriction, objection and data portability, and the right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority (Switzerland: FDPIC). Contact: support.goandgrow@gmail.com.
13. Account and data deletion
Delete your account and cloud data anytime in the app: Profile → Account → Delete account. Alternatively email support.goandgrow@gmail.com. We process deletion requests within 30 days. Details: Delete account.
Not deleted automatically: clan chat messages you already sent (section 6), finished clan wars of your clan (section 5) and the entry for a redeemed discount code (section 7). A running subscription is cancelled in the store, not through account deletion.
14. Children
The app is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect data from children under 13.
15. Changes
We update this policy when the app or legal requirements change; the current version is always available at this address.
